One of the most common techniques I use to soften my quinoa is boiling it for some time and then simmering it until it becomes tender. That could take about 15 minutes and doesn’t include much work.

How to Cook a Quinoa
Cooking quinoa is easy and fast. However, whether you want to cook it plain or mixed with other ingredients depends.
In my case, I love tasty foods, and hence always like mixing quinoa with some other ingredients to enhance the flavor. As such, I’m going to offer a recipe for a tasty quinoa dish, and I’m sure you’ll love it.
- A cup of uncooked dry quinoa,
- Two cups of coconut milk,
- ½ a cup of cheese,
- Sliced mango,
- ½ teaspoonful of salt, and
- Step 1: First, I rinse my quinoa with plenty of water. While quinoa is an excellent meal, if not properly rinsed, it gets bitter after cooking, thus ruining the delicacy.
- Step 2: Place the quinoa in a cooking bowl and add two cups of coconut milk and salt. You may use several liquids such as water, milk, or broth. However, I do prefer coconut milk due to its flavor.
- Step 3: Place the cooking bowl on the cooker and heat it till it boils.
- Step 4: Once the boiling has lasted for about 2 minutes, cover your jar, reduce the temperatures, and let it simmer for approximately 15 minutes.
- Step 5: Turn off the heat and cover it for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Step 6: Use a fork to fluff the now cooked quinoa, adding spices, strawberry, mango, and blueberry.
- Step 7: Add cheese to the mixture and continue mixing until it is well balanced.
