How to Make Coffee Ice Cream at Home – With 4 Ingredients!

Today I am going to show you how to make coffee ice cream at home. You won’t need a dedicated ice cream maker using a compressor. A regular kitchen machine with an extension for ice cream making is sufficient.

I am using my Bosch Mum 5 kitchen machine and bought the Bosch Ice Cream Maker for this purpose.

  • Start off by making coffee as you would make coffee for drinking. I am using my espresso machine and have to press 4 times in order to get to 1.25 cups of coffee.

  • Measure the heavy cream so you get 0.85 cups. I am using a measuring cup to get the exact amount. What works great are protein powder shakers. We have these always available at home.

  • Measure 1.4oz of sugar using a kitchen balance. You can use more or less sugar. Some recipes even use vanilla instead of sugar.

  • Lastly, mix everything so the sugar and the other ingredients are dissolved. You can mix by hand, a mixer or machine is not necessary for this step.

  • Put the mixed liquid into the fridge. I let it sit for 8-12 hours as I want the liquid to be as cold as possible before pouring it into the ice cream maker.
