Heat the cast iron to a temperature of above 400 °F. When sure the temperatures are reached, place each of the bacon strips separately. Avoid placing bacon over another. Let it cook until the bacon turns brownish. It could take 5 to 7 minutes.
Use the tongs to flip and cook the other side of the bacon till it turns brownish. That could take 2 to 3 minutes.
